3 Cool Tools for Product Managing

Product managing is hard. One of the main reasons why its so hard is because frankly there’s just too many things going on and you have to be aware of all of them. If you only had to concentrate on one thing at a time, you could probably do it perfectly. But that’s usually not the case for product managers and you need to be able to multitask and be comfortable at multitasking. Easier said than done.

That’s why I want to introduce just a few tools that might help you out in this chaotic product management world.

1. Trello: https://trello.com/

This tool is awesome. Its basically a to-do app but instead of having one list of tasks, it has multiple lists where you can drag&drop your tasks accordingly. Its great for when you have a ton of stuff going on and you need to keep track of all of them. Other to-do apps are good for situations where you have a limited number of things to do. But when this number starts to explode, you start to realize you need more than just one list at a time. Trello provides this why also giving neat labels you can use to organize your tasks.

We probably all know about this tool. But you probably don’t know just how functional it is. Google sheet rocks mainly because first of all, its basically a sharable excel and secondly, you have access it with any machine you like. You might say the second advantage is not that impressive since we already have clouds such as dropbox that can do this. But as someone who’s used all kinds of clouds, a lot of the times the sync doesn’t fit and it starts to get annoying. You won’t have any of those problems with google sheet and even if you suddenly have to only use your notebook because of various meetings, you can always check it out on your google sheets.

Also, it can be shared with other people and also has a neat function of saving all the changes that were made and by whom. So if a change was made that you don’t know about, all you have to do is go and check who made the changes and if you want, you can reverse it back.

3. Notion: https://www.notion.so/desktop

The new kid on the block. Notion’s popularity has exploded and to be fair, it deserves such a reputation. Notion is the whole package as you can create excels, notebooks, pages, and even entire calendars with a few clicks on your keyboard. You can make pages within pages within pages and can neatly stack up all of your papers in an orderly fashion. It also is extremely easy to share and you can even work on the same page with multiple people at the same time.
